In high-voltage substations, DC battery systems supply protection relays, control circuits and auxiliary equipment. These battery systems vary across regions, with different voltage levels used depending on local standards and installation requirements. The VPS-300’s adjustable output range of 0 to 300 V DC allows technicians to select suitable voltage levels for testing, commissioning and troubleshooting applications involving a wide range of substation battery systems.

Substation battery voltages may include 48 V DC, 110 V DC and 220 V DC, depending on the country and installation. With its wide adjustable voltage range, the VPS-300 provides a flexible DC source for electrical testing and servicing applications involving these different voltage levels.

With an output voltage adjustable from 0 to 300 V DC and an output current adjustable from 0 to 3 A DC, the VPS-300 operates in constant voltage (CV) or constant current (CC) mode. This flexibility allows the unit to regulate its output according to the selected operating conditions and connected load.

Based on switching-mode PWM technology, the VPS-300 combines adjustable output control with a compact design. Its 10-turn potentiometer enables fine voltage adjustment, while the digital display provides voltage and current readings. The stated display resolution is 0.1 V for voltage and 0.01 A for current.

For added protection during operation, the VPS-300 incorporates overvoltage protection (OVP), overcurrent protection (OCP), overtemperature protection (OTP) and overpower protection (OPP). A temperature-controlled, variable-speed fan provides cooling according to operating conditions, starting above 40°C and stopping below 35°C.

With dimensions of 285 × 200 × 150 mm and a net weight of approximately 3.2 kg, the VPS-300 offers a compact solution for workspaces requiring adjustable DC output.
